Can faith and small business mix?

The concept of mixing business and beliefs is usually a big no-no for entrepreneurs. Certainly there are some ethical and legal lines one shouldn’t cross. But what if I were to tell you that faith and focus are at times a constructive combination for small business success?

Hear me out in today’s small business slice, while I show some solid similarities syncing business and faith. No donations necessary.

Video transcription:

I work with entrepreneurs that come from a variety of cultures and a variety of faiths. And personally, I’ve found that there are some principles that are universally applicable–regardless of your faith–that apply to your business.

Number one is the principle of a sacred day. This means that you have one day a week that you set aside and do not do anything related to business. Having this day allows you to recharge your batteries and be more focused for the coming week.

Number two is the principle of giving freely. When entrepreneurs contribute to charitable causes—both money and time—the returns come back to their business in ways that are far beyond what they initially gave.

And number three is the principle of sacrifice. Sacrifice is giving up something good for something better. And when you make sacrifices, it yields great benefit to your business.

Now I’d like you to share in the comments section below, what principles of faith help you be successful in your business? Share that below.

Also, if you’ve got any questions you’d like me to answer in a future video, share that in the comments section below.
