How to make a personal connection while staying physically isolated

A simple line that creates a personal connection. “I was thinking about you and wondering how you and your family are doing?”
This is an email I received from my fellow LinkedIn Learning author and friend, Dean Karrel It really touched me that he reached out for no reason other than to check on me—to connect for a moment.
 
Physical isolation does not have to equal emotional isolation. There are so many ways to stay connected even without the physical interaction.
 
Some ideas I’ve used to stay connected virtually include:
 
* Sending an email to say hello
* Send a video message
* Calling someone on the phone
* Virtual chats like Facetime and Skype
